Inspired by Upworthy, Virality Mills Are Going Mainstream

You’ve heard of content farms, or websites, like ehow.com, which churn out articles and videos quickly and cheaply, based on analysis of the most-popular search queries. That was so 2012.

Today, the web is being swarmed by what we might call “virality mills.” As PandoDaily’s Hamish McKenzie puts it, these websites “are wising up to the mechanics of ‘success through social.’”
